At noon on January 1, 2019 Stephanie L. Davis was sworn in as the County Judge of Comanche County on the steps of Old Cora on the Comanche County Courthouse Square.

Pastor of the East Side Baptist Church in Comanche, Steven Schulte gave the opening prayer. Chief Justice Bonnie Sudderth of Fort Worth swore in Davis. Stephanie's husband Todd Davis was by her side during the ceremony. Stephanie’s parents and other family members were also in attendance.

It was a cold day in Comanche, but around 100 people braved the weather and stood under the Fleming Oak tree to witness the swearing-in of Comanche County's new County Judge. Judge Davis thanked the crowd for coming and stated that she had no political agenda, but would do the best job she could do in serving our community.
