Washington, D.C. — Wednesday, Congressman Mike Conaway (TX-11) announced the winner of the 2020 Congressional Art Competition from the 11th District of Texas. Rhesa Key, a Junior from Wall High School, took First Place with “My Window to the Sky,” an art piece done with Prisma colored pencils that depicts her hand holding a camera while taking a picture of a sunset.

The winners were chosen by a panel of judges from Angelo State University. Second Place was awarded to Abbey Dolbetty, a Senior from Early High School, for her piece titled, “Holly Anne.” Torie Forbus, a 10th Grader from Cross Plains High School, was awarded Third Place for her piece, “Among the Strays.” Special thanks to all students from the 11th District who submitted artwork during COVID-19.
