Lighted Parade theme announced

The Comanche Chamber of Commerce’s Lighted Christmas Parade will be Saturday, December 11 at 6pm. The theme this year is “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Remember, every entry must have lights.

Generators, converters, batteries and/or luminaries are welcome. Lineup will start at 5 pm on West Grand Street in front of Comanche Funeral Home. Cash prizes will be awarded to the 3 best overall entries that are registered. No Santa’s please. Singing and music are encouraged.

Be sure to bring the entire family out to the historic Comanche square for all the festivites and the lighted parade on Saturday!

Comanche Chamber Christmas Drink Making Contest

Who doesn’t love Christmas-themed drinks? Hot, cold, alcoholic or non-alcohol drinks are all acceptable. The contest will take place in Texas Rural Living. Set-up is at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 11.

Contestants must provide all their own ingredients and 5 gallons of the drink you are submitting to be judged for tasting by the public. Judging will take place at 1:30. Everyone can purchase a ticket for $5.00 to taste the drinks. Must be 21 or older to taste drinks with alcohol in them. Prizes include bragging rights and Comanche Christmas Cash. Jingle Mingle and Tour of Homes

The Jingle Mingle is December 12th in Homestead Hall, located in the Comanche Mercantile. There will be Christmas goodies and hot cocoa, so join us from noon to 1 pm to kick off the Tour of Homes!

Join us at the Jingle Mingle in the Comanche Mercantile to purchase your tickets and pick up a map to drive around with your friends and enjoy the Christmas Tour of Homes, featuring the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Jones, Mrs. Wilma Fleming, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Conway, Mrs. Billie Engel and the First United Methodist Church in Blanket. The Jingle Mingle and the Tour of Homes will be Sunday, December 12 from 1-4 pm. Tickets are $20 per person and you can purchase them either at the Chamber of Commerce or at the Jingle Mingle.
