BEDFORD, Texas (January 28, 2021) There’s a longstanding Texas tradition for telling tales both tall and wide. But really now: An 18-month-old mayor who’s a shoo-in for a third term? A medieval castle hidden amid Austin’s thickets? A motel where the accommodations include tents, teepees and a vintage trailer?
All true, and just a few of the many spellbinding stories showcased on The Texas Bucket List, a weekly syndicated television program hosted by storyteller Shane McAuliffe. The half-hour program airs in 22 Texas media markets.
Given the program’s focus on tradition and cultural touchpoints, forging a partnership between the program and the Texas Dairy Queen Operators’ Council (TDQOC) is a perfect fit. After all, there are few entities more iconic throughout the Lone Star State than Dairy Queen® restaurants in Texas.

The Texas Bucket List will celebrate its 200th episode with a socially-distanced event for a limited number of sponsors, partners and guests at The Alamo in San Antonio on Saturday, February 27, 2021. Spotlighting the Texas Revolution, the episode will air on March 6, 2021, the 185th anniversary of the Alamo’s fall.
