The Lyric Theater announces 2022 season of live theater

From Brownwood Lyric Theater

Three Musketeers on February 11, 2022 through February 20, 2022 will kick off the live theater season for 2022 at the historic Brownwood Lyric Theater.

The “Three Musketeers” is based on the timeless swashbuckler by Alexandre Dumas, a tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes, and above all, honor. The story, set in 1625, begins with D’Artagnan, who sets off for Paris in search of adventure.

Next up is Leading Ladies on April 1, 2022 through April 10, 2022.

In this hilarious comedy by the author of Lend Me A Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo, two English Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing “Scenes from Shakespeare” on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. When they hear that an old lady in York, PA is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. The trouble is, when they get to York, they find out that the relatives aren’t nephews, but nieces!

The Lyric’s location in the center of historic downtown Brownwood also makes it a great addition to the new restaurants, shops, and galleries that are giving citizens and visitors a reason to walk those streets again. See website for more information!
