2020 Comanche County Junior Livestock Show

It is time for the Comanche County Junior Livestock Show. We need to do all we can to encourage young people to be involved with agriculture, so be sure to come out and support the youth that will be showing their animals. This year the show will run from Saturday January 11th until Monday, January 13th with the Premium Sale being held on Thursday evening, January 16th. All activities will be held at the Comanche County Livestock Association Show Barn.

The show will begin Saturday morning with check in of breeding dairy heifers, breeding beef heifers and market steers from 7:30 until 8:30 AM. The show will start at 9:00 and go in the following order: dairy heifers, beef heifers and market steers. Horse check in will be from 12:30 until 1:30 PM on Saturday afternoon. The horse show will start after check-in, hopefully at 2:00 PM.

On Sunday January 12th check in for breeding swine, breeding sheep, breeding meat goats and all market animals except steers will be from 2:00 until 5:00 PM. Monday will be a full day with the show starting at 8:00 AM and proceeding in the following order: breeding swine, market swine, breeding sheep, market lambs, breeding meat goats, and finally market goats.

There will be a catfish supper catered by Diamond R Store & Cafe for all buyers on Thursday, January 16th at 5:30 at the Comanche County Livestock Association Show Barn (all others may purchase a plate for $12.00). Following supper the Premium Sale will begin at 6:30 on Thursday evening at the Comanche County Livestock Association Show Barn.

This is an excellent opportunity to come out and see some excellent livestock and kids. These youth will be the future of agriculture and Comanche County, be sure to come out and support them.
