mailings from China

There has been a buzz about unsolicited mailings from China in the news lately. The reports are of plant seeds and jewelry that have been mailed throughout the country.  Unfortunately Comanche County is not immune.

On July 27th a package was received addressed to an Elected Official at the  Courthouse.  The package contained obviously fake jewelry with Chinese and English writing on the packaging.

I have been in contact with the Texas and the US Department of Agriculture and obtained procedures for the Sheriff’s Office to follow.

If you receive an unsolicited package like this please contact the Sheriff’s Office and my Deputies will collect them.
