The latest COVID-19 numbers from the Comanche County Public Health Authority show 4 new positive cases for residents of Comanche County, bringing our current active cases to 8. Three of the new positive results were received from the May 16, 2020 National Guard mobile testing unit. There are 52 results from the drive through testing by the National Guard still pending. The Local Health Authorities are currently working with the Texas Department of State Health Services to perform contact tracing. All active Comanche County cases are in quarantine status.

Comanche County residents are reminded to continue following all guidelines suggested by the Center for Disease Control including:

Stay 6 ft from others

Wear a face covering in public

Wash hands often

Disinfect high-touch areas and objects

Don't touch your face with unwashed hands

Stay home if you’re sick

Contact the CCMC COVID-19 Tele-Screening Hotline at 254-879-4999 if you have:

1. Fever, cough, shortness of breath or other respiratory symptoms; and

2. Traveled within the past 30 days; or have known exposure to someone diagnosed with or currently being tested for COVID-19 (coronavirus).
