Over 65 old and new bikes have been donated by the community and collected by Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The bicycles are in the process of being refurbished by the SkillsUSA, Robotics and Auto Tech students at Comanche High School. Most bikes are rusted with bad tires, old grips and weathered seats. Some require new brakes, gears and chains. Some donated are so vintage, parts would be impossible to find! Pictured are CHS students Jose Sales, Eric Arreola and Ely Padilla working on the bikes. Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church is still collecting old and new bikes for the children Eagle Pass. Old bikes can be used for parts. For information on anything you have read here or to donate, contact Eddy Parker at 254-842-8859 and leave a message.
