For those for with a palette for fresh veggies and local produce, the 2019 August Comanche Farmer’s Market is this Saturday, August 3. The event, as always, will be held in historic downtown Comanche with hours 9:00 a.m. to noon.

In the past the Farmer’s Market has featured local produce such as pomegranates from Heritage Hill Place, asparagus, peaches and plums from Elliott Farms, Comanche County pecan products and the whimsical fragrances of soaps and lotion from Texas Handmade Suds.

This Saturday there is not yet a non-profit signed up to sell breakfast or lunch, so if you are interested call 325-330-3666. New vendors at the 2019 market have featured stained glass, woodworking and baked goods and jams.

For vendors, the Comanche Farmer’s Market continues to sign up vendors for the 2019 Season. It runs through December, the first Saturday of each month 9 am to noon. Handcrafted and homegrown/farm grown items only. Email for information to or contact thru the Comanche Farmer’s Market Facebook page.
