(March 10, 2023) Due to the complexity of the case, the Comanche County Sheriff's Office do not have any further information at this time. The Comanche County Sheriff's Office are continuing to jointly investigate the double homicide with the Texas Rangers division of the Texas Department of Public Safety.

(February 24, 2023) On February 21, 2023, at 5:50 a.m., the Comanche County Sheriff's Office responded to a call at a residence on County Road 103 between Comanche and Sidney. At the residence deputies found two persons who were deceased inside the residence.
The deceased persons were identified as William "Billy" Kehl Jr, 47, and Danielle Kehl, 35, both of Comanche.
