It is very difficult to do a rain report when it is still pouring down rain! We are compiling this weather report while slipping off our rain boots and drying our umbrellas Wednesday morning here at The Comanche Chief.

Comanche County was blessed with rain starting at 2:30 on Tuesday afternoon. Heavier storms with high winds and lightening came later on in the evening and at some point knocked out of transformer near Travis Street. A reported 1,260 residences were affected in Comanche County. The electricity was off for about 3 hours over most of the City of Comanche.

School was closed in Blanket, Texas on Wednesday, September 2. There is no electricity at the school and they are uncertainty when power will be back on. Rain, lightning and thunder continued throughout most of the evening and a heavy rain continued on into Wednesday morning.
