Yesterday evening on March 23 during the Comanche ISD School Board meeting Gary Speegle announced that he was retiring.

Comanche ISD Board of Trustees,

I want to first thank you for the opportunity to begin my career in public education at Comanche ISO and now end my career in public education at Comanche ISD. It has been an amazing 31 years serving children and communities. I am submitting my resignation today effective August 31, 2020 for the intention of retiring from public education.

I want to personally thank you for the opportunity 4 years ago to come into the District and help you lead as a member of the Team of Eight. I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of you on a new level and seeing some of you who were students when I was here the 1st time now as adults leading your families, businesses, and this District. It has been an amazing circle of life for the Speegles.

I know you will continue to lead with "Children First" in mind. Please know if I can help in any way, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank you again and God bless each one of you,

Gary Speegle Superintendent, Comanche ISD
