“Having just wished my husband a Happy Father’s Day (my own father and FIL are no longer with us), my attention is turned to the children in the child welfare system who are not in the care of their fathers,” stated Joanne McCraw, Recruiter/Trainer for CASA in the Heart of Texas. Many of these children have suffered abuse and/or neglect at the hands of a father, stepfather, or other father-figure. These children are often left craving the attention of safe, compassionate men…men who would be protective and fight for them, who would lead them, who would spend time with them and demonstrate to them what a good man is. Men of CASA fight for kids. They help create a better system. They protect the vulnerable. Men of CASA make clarity out of chaos. They lead cases forward, and they show people what a good man is.

The next CASA 101 Information Session in Comanche will be Thursday, June 27th at 5:30 PM at the Reunion Center, 111 S Austin St, Comanche. This meeting is open to any and all interested in learning more about the mission of CASA in the Heart of Texas. Every child has a chance – it’s you.
