Comanche High Class of 1955 celebrates 66th reunion

The Comanche High School class of 1955 celebrated their 66th class reunion July 10th, 2021. Some of the group met for breakfast at Center City Cafe.

Later classmates started gathering at “The Set” around 10:00 am. There was a lot of greeting each other since it had been two years since we had seen each other.

At noon Vera Clayton had a light lunch for those that could be there, also a nice place to just sit and visit and remember how lucky we were to have grown up in the 40’s and 50’s. Most of us had very little money, but lots of good friends that we have been able to enjoy thru the years. We still miss those that aren’t with us anymore.

That night we were served a special dinner meal. There was a total of 17 classmates, with total number being served 30. Joni Williams Welty was our photographer again this year, also taking names of those that wanted a memory book of our 66th reunion pictures.

Those attending this year were: Billy Paul Carpenter, and daughter Kristine Naiser, Bobby Carter, Doris Nell Kerley Chandler, Marjorie House Cox and daughters Marilyn and Janet, Billy Joe Davis, Donald “Bo” Elrod and Marilyn and Chad, Myrt Lewis Jackson, Calvin Lee, Virginia Robertson Lee, James Lester, Gayle McNutt and Esther, Patsy Wilhelm Mears and daughter Jacque, Joe Purcella and Joy, Brent Waldrop and Joyce, Lou Ann McAlley Webb and Don, LaRita Streety Williams and Robert, Gene Wilson and Polly. Before leaving for our homes, the class voted to have another reunion in 2023.
