On Friday, May 15 the atmosphere was building up for some thunderstorms in Comanche County and the surrounding area and build up it did. Around midnight on Friday the wind and lighting strike built up along with the much needed rain which lasted into Saturday morning.

But the storm did knock out power for most of the City of Comanche residents into the early a.m. hours of Saturday, May 16.

Also some trees were blown over because of saturation and high wind. And a roof was blown off a trailer house as well. The roof came to rest in a barbed wire fence 100 yards away.
