The Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and the Hamilton Police Department in a combined investigation with the assistance of Stephenville PD, effected the arrest of Jonathan Joseph Shockley, 56 of Gustine, for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1 less than 1 gram, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon, and Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance PG 1 more than 4 grams but less than 200 grams.  Shockley is currently in the Earth County Jail on a total of more than $100,000 bail.  Shockley is also being held on a Parole Violation warrant with no bond.

Information obtained from the investigation caused Stephenville PD to make a traffic stop on Shockley in Stephenville where he was found to be in possession of less than one gram of Methamphetamine. Adding those facts to the investigation it led the Sheriff’s Office to obtain a Search Warrant for Shockley’s residence near the Hamilton and Comanche County Lines.  At the residence Deputies located approximately 26 grams of Methamphetamine and sufficient tools and chemicals to “cook” methamphetamine.

Possession of less than 1 gram is a State Jail Felony with a penalty of up to 2 years in State Jail, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon is a Third Degree Felony with a penalty of up to 10 years in TDC, and Manufacture between 4 grams and 200 grams is a First Degree Felony with a penalty range from 5 to 99 years in TDC.
