Comanche ISD Superintendent

On May 6, 2020 the Comanche ISD Board of Trustees named Daron Worrell as the Lone Finalist for the superintendent position of Comanche ISD.  Mr. Worrell will be coming to Comanche from Rocksprings ISD where he is currently the superintendent.  He was hired there in the summer of 2018. Before his role as superintendent at Rocksprings ISD he served in Sonora as the middle school principal and before that at Brackettville as the secondary principal for over 3 years.

Rocksprings is a town in Edwards County in south Texas and Sonora and Brackettville are located in south Texas as well. 

Rocksprings ISD as of the 2018-2019 school year had 303 students. The school received an accountability rating of C and 7.3% of students were enrolled in bilingual and English language learning programs. Sonora ISD as of the 2018-2019 school year had 802 students. The school received an accountability rating of A and 13.5% of students were enrolled in bilingual and English language learning programs. Brackettville ISD as of the 2018-2019 school year had 558 students. The school received an accountability rating of A and 3.9% of students were enrolled in bilingual and English language learning programs. And Comanche ISD as of the 2018-2019 school year had 1,313 students. The school received an accountability rating of B and 15.2% of students were enrolled in bilingual and English language learning programs.

Worrell and his wife, Carla, have 3 children, Ava, Brody and Eli. He and his family are excited to join the wonderful Comanche ISD family.

He will transition to this new position while helping Rocksprings finalize his time there. Officially he will sign his Comanche ISD contract at the end of this month.
