The Comanche Police Department Chief of Police, Bruce Bradshaw released the following statement. "Despite the story circulating on social media, no one was shot in Comanche over the weekend. The police department served a search warrant on Louisa Avenue in south Comanche at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 9. Three persons were arrested, two charged with the manufacture and delivery of methamphetamine in a drug free zone, and one for possession of marijuana. The persons arrested are still under investigation and more charges may come later".

In a separate matter gun shots were heard in west Comanche but this was part of an reenactment of gun fight during a wedding ceremony on Saturday evening, June 9.
