A “Universe of Stories” were told at this year’s Story Hour sponsored by the Comanche Study Club and hosted by the Comanche Public Library! The first—and subsequent Story Hours-- held each Wednesday in June boasted almost 100 children each time.

The first Story Hour at the library had a huge turnout, kicking off the event. Special thanks to the guest speaker Coach Marty Wyatt for the astronomy and night sky lesson. The next Wednesday brought 96 kids to participate. Did you know that about 71% of the Earth is water-covered? The third Story Hour studied the planet Earth. Group activities included water safety, catch and release fishing and wildflowers and pollination. Volunteers from the Army Corps of Engineers presented the program.

The Comanche Study Club Story Hour committee and the Comanche Public Library encourage you to continue your kids’ interest and quest for learning by reading and making regular visits to your local library! Thank you all for your support in 2019 Story Hour. And a special thank you to Comanche Dairy Queen for donating the ice cream treats to the kids!
