The Comanche County Historical Society & Museum, Inc. will host its annual Veterans Day Luncheon Celebration Sunday, November 10 at the Special Event/Reunion Center 111 S. Austin (just across from the drive thru lanes at Spirit of Texas Bank). Serving begins at 11 a.m. and closes at 2p.m. The luncheon will feature a delicious serving line buffet of great dishes. A variety of meats, side dishes and incredible desserts will be served. All are welcome to attend.

The meal will be by donation. All additional donations are greatly appreciated and will be applied to complete the Museum kitchen.

Work continues on the Museum kitchen and hopefully will be ready for the Christmas party. Museum Board invites everyone to attend the Veterans Day Luncheon and also to visit the Museum at any time. The annual Christmas Party Open House is on Dec. 7 with the public invited. Refreshments and entertainment are highlights of the Christmas Party. The Board encourages everyone to attend both events.

Please come out and support your local County Museum. The Comanche Museum serves all of the communities both past and present in the County. The Board of Trustees and an active volunteer force - 'Friends of the Museum' - work hard to hold quarterly fund-raising events in order to cover operation costs for the 3.1 acre grounds and the 30,000 square feet of exhibits.

The Comanche County Historical Society and Museum, Inc., which was recently named Organization of the Year by the Comanche Chamber of Commerce, is located at 402 Moorman Road in Comanche, Texas 76442 (just west of the Bayer GMC on Hwy 67/377 and Hwy 36). The Museum hours are Wednesday thru Saturday from l0a.m. to 4p.m.

The Museum also has an active membership drive. A 1-year membership is $20 for individuals and $25 for a family. Lifetime memberships are also available for only $150.
