Conception (Connie) Chappell

Conception (Connie) Chappell, 90, passed from this life and into heaven on January 08, 2023 in Fort Worth TX. Born on July 11, 1932, she was the youngest of 13 children from her parents Julian and Amparo (Rodriguez) in Kansas City, MO.

Connie was baptized in the Catholic Church. She was united in marriage to Cecil Chappell. They had a loving marriage of 52 years and enjoyed family and friends. She worked at a box company till she retired and ran a bar and grill (Country Cabaret) with her husband, in which they came to know many people in the community and showed their love for people in many ways. They were known for having Christmas parties for the neighboring children. And open their business on holidays for people who were alone on those days. They attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in De Leon TX, in which they enjoyed helping when they could.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Amparo Rojas sisters Amelia, Inez and Dolores; brothers Vincent, Julian, Renard, John, Peter, Joe and Robert. twin children Deborah Habersat, Alfred Gonzalez and her youngest son Jesse Gonzalez; her daughter Patricia Chappell; And her dear husband Cecil Chappell.

She is survived by children; Sons, Paul and wife Laura Gonzalez of Kansas City, KS and Proctor TX, son n law Michael Habersat, Proctor TX and Abad and wife Marcia Gonzales of Kansas City KS Cecil Chappell Jr and wife Tammy Chappell of Garnett KS.; daughter Brenda and husband Chris Gomez of Proctor TX. Connie also leaves behind her sisters Aurora, Carmen and Brenda; and many great and grand children, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Connie will be remembered for her generous and kind heart. She was a strong and determined woman. She taught her kids to love, laugh and share what they had. She was wonderful cook and wife, mom, grandmother and great grandmother, relative, and friend. She is truly missed.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the family’s residence, June 3, 2023 at 10:00am. Where they will lay to rest their father Cecil Chappell and mom Connie Chappell.
