Pinkerton

Brodie Mack Pinkerton, age 24 of Shallowater, Texas passed away Wednesday, July 14th surrounded by loved ones. The much loved son of Rick and Amy Pinkerton, loving brother to Raleigh Pinkerton, devoted boyfriend to “his girl” Stephanie Smith and a great friend to countless others. Brodie is also survived by his grandparents, Harold and Sherry Perkins, Uncle Doug Perkins and cousins Yancy and Autry Perkins all of Comanche, Texas as well as his Aunt Penny and Uncle Ron Bates of Mansfield, Texas.

Brodie graduated from Shallowater High School in 2015 where he excelled in all sports, One Act Play and was a member of National Honor Society. He was employed by Davis Moore Electric where he was working towards his electrician’s license. He was passionate about his job and loved his coworkers and the electrical trade.

Brodie Mack was known for his larger than life personality- everything he did, he did with great passion. He had an immense love for music and film. He was often teased that he knew every word to every song ever written and could quote movie lines at the drop of a hat. He was also an avid sports enthusiast especially when it came to his beloved Kansas City Chiefs and Texas Tech Red Raiders.

His untimely death leaves a huge hole in our hearts but it gives us comfort knowing how many people his generous and loving spirit touched in his short time on this earth and that in death he chose to give the ultimate gift of life so that others may live, and for that we are grateful.

There will be a visitation at Sanders Funeral Home in Lubbock, Texas on Friday, July 23rd 6:00 pm-8:00 pm with services being held at First Baptist Church Lubbock, 2201 Broadway on Saturday, July 24th at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring Brodie’s life by contributing to one of the following- a scholarship fund to be established in his honor that will be earmarked for Shallowater High School graduates entering trade school, handled by People’s Bank of Shallowater, 7503 US HWY 84, Shallowater, Texas 79363 or donating to the Tarleton Bass Club at www.tarleton.edu/bassclub
