Loretta Ann Stephenson, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, in Comanche, Texas.

She was born on November 22, 1944, in Gorman, Texas, to Elvis Eugene and Johnnie Ell (Johnston) Chambers. On August 6, 1976, she was united in marriage to Dean Stephenson in Rising Star, Texas. R.D. Williams officiated at their wedding. For over thirty-five years Lorretta was secretary for the Director of Nursing at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was always cheerful, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was kind to everyone she met. She was led a busy life. She was president of CASA, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels after she retired. Loretta was a member of Pearl Street Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Stephenson of Comanche; brothers-in-law, Terry Stephenson Dwayne Stephenson, and Don Stephenson and their wives; sister-in-law, Kat Copeland; special friends, Mary Lou Cisneroz and Loretta Steele: her beloved ‘children’, Molly the dog and Menuver, the cat; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elvis and Johnnie chambers; and brother, Ronnie Dale Chambers.

Family will receive friends at Comanche Funeral Home on Friday, June 21, 2019, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Comanche Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jim Haught officiating, followed by interment in Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche. Condolences may be offered on line at
