Marilyn Eve Sydow, 84, of Comanche, passed away on Monday afternoon, January 11, 2021 at the Hendrick Memorial Hospital in Abilene.

Marilyn was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 18, 1936. She received a teaching certificate to teach in a private Christian School. She loved attending church, teaching Sunday School, being involved in the prayer ministry, singing in the choir, National Day of Prayer and several other ministries. She loved helping those in need and volunteering her time. Marilyn loved her family and friends and you could always depend on her.

Survivors include: her husband of 68 years, Norris Sydow, her sister, Donna Rae Stone, her children, Sharon Lanoue (Tim), Donny Sydow (Dolores), Dorrie Hentz (Ricky), David Sydow, Kenny Sydow (Cindy), and Lisa Walker (Tommy). She had 14 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Rockford, father, Don Wiley and sister, Ann Beckman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials should be sent to the Eastside Baptist Church, 207 Ranch Road 3381, Comanche TX 76442

Memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Eastside Baptist Church, 207 Ranch Rd 3381, Comanche, TX 76442.

Visitation will be at 1:00 PM, prior to the memorial service.

Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
