Friday night was exciting for those from Comanche as well as those driving through!

At 5 pm on Friday afternoon, the Comanche Organization of Businesses hosted the “Trailers and Tiaras” parade with the Sisters on the Fly members. The parade featured twenty antique and new RVs and traveled from the Comanche Rodeo Grounds to historic downtown. They were led by the City Police and Willis Towing.

On our way back into town we saw the registration for the Tri Anglers event at ACE Hardware sponsored by the Dublin, De Leon and Comanche Chambers. The American Flag was hoisted up at this time on the Willis Towing truck.

At one of the local hotels, we saw what may have been one million dollars or more in trucks and boats parked in the parking lot. Then we had dinner at Miguel’s Mexican Restaurant. Excellent as always.

After a great meal we cruised around the downtown square again to enjoy the vendors and trailers at the “Trailers and Tiaras” event.

Next weekend look forward to another “Comanche Cruise In” sponsored by the Comanche County Car Club at 11 am on Saturday, October 17, the same day as the second evening Comanche Market and the City-Wide Garage Sale.

So many events—be sure to mark your calendar. Read The Comanche Chief. Make an effort to go to these events and welcome the guests and participants. It is important to event local as well as shop and eat local!
