Conaway Chronicle

Thank you for reading The Conaway Chronicle, a review of my activities in Congress and the 11th District.

A Great Week in TX-11

I’ve had a fantastic week on the road in the 11th District. Here’s a look at some of the highlights:

• Five Town Hall Meetings, in Lamesa, Odessa, Sterling City, Robert Lee, and Breckenridge. Town Halls give me the opportunity to hear what’s on your mind, so please join me for future town halls if you are able to.

A Visit to Harmony Science Academy, where I got to see firsthand the incredible things these kids are learning. Good luck to the robotics team, who are heading to the national finals in Kentucky next week!

A Facility Tour of Solvay Chemical, a neat company in the Permian Basin looking to decrease our carbon footprint and improve the industry’s safety protocol procedures.

Rotary Club Meetings in Midland, Mineral Wells, and Cisco, where I was able to answer questions about issues like border security and the federal budget. Watch more from Mineral Wells here:

Radio Stops Across TX-11, giving communities in all parts of the district updates on what’s happening in DC and back home.

Get to Know Our Interns

Each semester, the DC office is lucky to have the help of several interns. Internships are an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in politics or government. No two days are the same, but interns spend the semester helping compile research, conducting Capitol tours, writing legislative correspondence, attending committee hearings, gathering news clippings. If you or a student you know is interested in interning in one of our offices, you can find more information here.

And now, get to know two of our interns for the spring semester, Jordan and Bailee:

As always, you can follow me on Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
