What a year 2020 has been thus far! We hope all are staying safe, and we will do our very best to follow the UIL procedures regarding the recommended Covid-19 Risk Mitigation Guidelines.
These are some important dates to remember.
July 30-31 8:00am-11:00am
High school football and volleyball equipment and locker issue
August 3 6:30am-9:30am
Start of high school football and high school volleyball (HS Gym)
Junior high football boy’s equipment handout (helmet, girdles, shoulder pads) 2:00pm-3:30 pm
First day of school
School will be virtual for the first three weeks but all junior high and high school students who plan on being in the athletic periods for the fall sports must show up for workouts at the times listed below. (The fall sports are cross country, volleyball, football, and basketball)
Junior high volleyball practice 7th grade 8:00am-9:00am, 8th grade 9:00am-10:00am at junior high
Junior high football practice 7th and 8th together 2:30pm -4:00pm at junior high practice field
High school girls will practice from 2:30pm – 3:30 pm for all fall sports athletes. Volleyball will begin after school practice at 3:30pm
High school boys will have 5th period workout from 11am-12 pm for all fall sports athletes and return for after school football workout at 4:00pm.
High school and junior high cross country workouts will begin. Details to be released later.
The junior high kids will not be issued school workout clothing the first few weeks of practice. They will need to come dressed for workout in shorts and t-shirt.
All student athletes must show up for practices each day with a face covering or mask and a container of water that will last them the entire practice time.
All Comanche ISD students who choose to do virtual learning will be allowed to be in athletics for the first grading period. Beginning the second six weeks grading period, Comanche ISD will expect all kids competing in extracurricular activities to be attending in person classes.
Please remember to show up with your medical history form for 2020 for 8th-12th grade and 7th grade will need a physical and medical history form completed.
