Comanche, Texas June 26, 2020, this evening, Comanche ISD received notice that a student who has been on campus this past week has had direct exposure to an individual who recently tested positive for COVID-19. The student is currently self quarantining at home, is not displaying any symptoms of the virus, and has not tested positive for the virus.

All buildings will be deeply sanitized, and all students and staff who have been in the area where students were this week should continue to follow CDC guidelines and recommendations and practice social distancing.

Based on the information that we have gathered, it has been determined that the end of the 14-day incubation period for anyone possibly exposed on campus to the student is July 10, 2020.

Therefore summer workouts will be cancelled until July 13, 2020. No students will be allowed on campus until July 13, 2020.

Out of an abundance of caution, we advise you to monitor your health, follow the CDC guidelines for people who have had close contact, and contact your primary care physician if you develop symptoms.

The District will continue to monitor this situation and will provide additional information as needed.

June 30, 2020 - It was reported to The Chief that a Comanche High School student tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

July 2, 2020 - The report of a Comanche High School student testing positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) was incorrect. The Comanche Chief apologizes for this mistake and will check our sources more diligently in the future during this difficult time with the pandemic.
