HPU presents degrees to 187 graduates at recent Commencement ceremonies

BROWNWOOD – July 1, 2021 – Howard Payne University presented degrees to 187 graduates at Commencement ceremonies held in May for fall 2020 and spring 2021 graduates. Degrees were conferred by Dr. Cory Hines, HPU president, and other university personnel.

From Blanket: Esmeralda Maldonado, Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in general studies and Shaunna Simpson, Bachelor of Science in business administration, Cum Laude.

From Comanche: Lori Barnett, Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in general studies, Collin Davis, Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in criminal justice, Cum Laude and Zackary Johnson, Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Christian studies (practical theology.)

From May: Donna Moses, Bachelor of Arts in theatre arts (all-level) and Emily O’Neill, Bachelor of Science in elementary education (early childhood – grade 6.)

From Rising Star: Taylor Cox Chandler, Bachelor of Arts in Christian education (ministry leadership), Magna Cum Laude.

From Zephyr: Emily Talley, Bachelor of Arts in social work, Summa Cum Laude.
